Hi There John

I doubt if this will be of any help to you... but I just installed an 'all
in one' (scanner, copier & fax).... but it would not fax for some reason. I
know it did when the tech guy helped me, and I wrote the instructions down.
And when I had to format my hard drive... I just installed the printer, etc..
but forgot to to this additional step. So it works now.

Well, I see you have Win 98 so this might not work for you, but I have
WinXP ... and on these instructions that I wrote down, I had to put my WinXP Home
Edition CD in the slot, and I selected.. 'Windows Components' when a screen
came up as what I wanted to do. (This puts your Wizard working for you so
that 'all' will work.)

These are the things you can choose from to see about it working for you.

WinXp Home Edition CD

Install Windows XP
Install Windows Components *
Perform Additional task
Check system coompabilities.

At least it doesn't hurt to try this. Did you get your wizard to working
when you tried all those other things...? So maybe you have a CD that is
similar to this for your Win 98. Harriet
