Eskimos used to let some meats "ripen" until it was green and then it
contained vit C. Not all meats but I'd have to re-read the book by Peter
Freuchen who was the businesspartner of Knut Rasmussen. He wrote in detail
about his life in Greenland in the time they set up a tradingpost late 19th,
early 20th century.
He describes how a seal or a narwal would be kept in their skin underground
until the skin and the fat turned green. It was considered an enormous
delicacy.
The native people didn't eat just meat, they had their (small) pick of greens
in summer too.
Also I think a persons genetic ancestry might make someone more or less
suitable for eating meats only. Maybe if you want to eat an Eskimo-diet to the
letter it would make sense to live mostly that way too. If you are not in such
a cold climate burning off every calory you can lay your hands on through hard
physical work like they did it, it might not be not the most suitable diet for
you now.
Peter Freuchen featured in a film they made about his life but I've not been
able to track it down (yet). His books are a wonderful source on life on
Greenland before "civilisation" hit.

ps Was in Copenhagen, Danmark two weeks ago and never ever in my life seen so
many drunks. 9 am and a lot of people were legless. A lot of bars early in the
morning with plastered crowds.
Guess what, a lot of Greenlanders (who have Danish nationality) amongst them.
Through their genetic disposition they seem to have no resistance against
alcohol....
And I'm used to seeing drunks and druggies in Amsterdam but this lot
outclassed them.
