Both of my kids were tested way before age 2.  One was 13 months, the
other was 10 mo.  Both were tested mainly for foods at that time.
Probably what they were referring to is that inhaled allergies generally
do not surface until somewhere around age 3.  Of course, this is only a
generalization also.
