Thank you responding to my recent query re vinegar and gluten content.
Summarizing the positive and negative "email smilies" (number of:
smilies shown is arbitrary).  N = 11 :

There were very few, but some, opinions that:
    - ALL or NO vinegars should be ok as GF : ) & : (

There was general agreement that:
    - (should) Contact Manufacturer if in doubt      : )   : )    : )
    - Cider Vinegar is most; desirable                   : )    : )   : )
    - Wine Vinegar came next                                 : )    : )
    - Rice Vinegar came next after that : )

    - Malt vinegar is *out* !                                       : (
    - Vinegar as listed ingredient is *risky* : (

 But there were really mixed opinions, so issues remain most open about:
    - Distilled vinegar (G-traces may remain)        : ?
    - White vinegars as a class                               : ?
    - Balsamic Vinegar (most said ok) : ?

Thanks again!  My reading of labels in the regular store revealed little;
going to "health food" store soon.
Best wishes, LindaMF (let me know if I missed you).
