Thanks to those who responded.  Here are a few ideas:
 
Cold Season Plus by Quantum, Inc.
 
Lemon tea with honey.  Just squeeze one lemon, dump boiling water
on it and add honey to taste.  You can also add a little brandy.
 
Ginger tea.  Use scraped or shredded ginger (fresh) and boil in
water on the stove until it has a sharp taste.  Drink lots.
 
Zand herb lozenges, lemon with zinc is good, (the sweetener is rice syrup)
 
Ricola sugar free throat drops
 
Sorbee sugar-free throat drops
 
I did eventually receive confirmation from Robert L. Pollack of The Quigley
Corporation that Cold-Eeze is gluten-free.
