My daughter is 6 and was diagnosed with CD at 2. My mother has so many health
problems, it would be impossible to name them all here. She has had blood
work for Cd in the past and all appeared fine. She was having an upper
endoscopy for possible ulcer (none was found) and I suggested she request a
small bowel biopsy due to family history of CD. The biopsy came back
"inconclusive". I thought the biopsy was the gold standard in diagnosing CD.
She is scheduled to have new blood work next week. Her doctor says they'll
talk about where to go from there then. She plans to go GF anyway after the
blood work, but I wonder if anyone is familiar with an "inconclusive" biopsy.
Could it be that a different lab should look at the biopsy? Should it be done
again?

Any shared experiences or thoughts would be appreciated.
