If your antenna isn't a good swr and the amp isn't broad enough to tune
it, you'll need another tuner. The tuner is inside the radio. Whether
you are transmitting through the amp or just feeding the antenna, the rf
basicly goes from out put transisters to the tuner to the output jack of
the radio. If the amp is on, signal goes to the input of the amp, through
the stages, then to the output tuning of the amp to the antenna. If the
amp is off or in stand by, signal goes from transisters, to tuner then to
output jack of radio and straight to antenna. If tuner is bypassed,
signal just goes from transisters to output jack. Hope this is clear.
