Hello all.

Somebody e-mailed me to look at the controversy over Quaker products in
the archives. I must say, it never occurred to me to check the archives
before posting information recieved from a manufacturer! HOwever, it looks
like there is a lot of legitimate concern about Quaker's rice cakes.

For some the problem is cross-contamination. Others have had confirmed by
Quaker at other times that their 'caramel' is derived from barley. I will
call them back in the next week to persue this further, but from what I
have read in the archives this seems to be a very confused company with
regards to gf, and it might be wiser to avoid their stuff altogether. This
is my opinion only.

Regards,
