While the HOT 591 will not support the 100 MHZ Bus speed, you can still use
the 66MHz x 4.5 (or 75MHz x 4, but you'll be out of the PCI-Specs)
Multiplier with a AMD K6 II 300. Make sure you adjust the voltage settings
beforehand. Of course this would only be advisable if you already had a HOT
591 and just wanted to buy the CPU, and upgrade your board at a later time.
I personally haven't noticed much of a difference using the 66 or 100MHz bus
speed. I know this is leading this thread off the original question, but I
thought this might interest some of the people thinking of upgrading to the
K6 II.
