Thanks to all of you who took the time to provide meaningful information
regarding CALCIUM CITRATE VS. CARBONATE. It is unanimous: CITRATE is more
easily tolerated than carbonate. More helpful hints:

* Dr. Peter Green, celiac specialist in NYC, only recommends CITRATE.

* Calcium is better absorbed if taken with Vit D, either in the form of some
good old fashioned sunshine, or in supplement form.

* One person suggested that calcium should be taken with VitC, such as OJ,
but never in combination with an iron supplement.

* 10 people recommended "CITRACAL" calcium citrate supplement, which is
available at regular supermarkets and drug stores. It says gluten free on
label and is also free of several other allergens (www.citracal.com). I AM
Now taking citracal and am digesting it very well. I have also noticed that
I am becoming more calm and sleeping better, i think due to the calcium
ABSORPTION.

* Freeda Vitamins (www.freedavitamins.com) were highly recommended by a dozen
people. They have gluten free, kosher supplements with very few additives.
They also have a calcium lactate supplement that is well tolerated by some
folks.
