they have 24 hour care... That is the case in several people I know of. They
have paid roommates who stay with them at night, then they get other people
in the day.

Well, Kathy Jo, I certainly understand the fear of the driver. You could have
killed a lot of people, not just yourself!  now to find ways of getting
around -- how about taking the public bus, or paratransit, or walking/riding
your chair where ever?
