Some of us feel it comes from the consumption of phytic acid. This can be
found in whole grains, and it combines with minerals in the body,
especially calcium, to form phytates, which precipitate from the body. For

Possibly because the consumption of wheat is up. Wheat is the grain with
the most gluten, and in certain people gluten damages the small intestine.
The lactase enzyme is produced in the brush border of the microvilli. This
is the first part that gluten compromises.

Well, you explained it above (and I clipped). Lots of advertising from the
dairy industry. The moustache campaign alone is $110 million per year.
