Hi FRED W4HC,

Personally, I think I would buy one of those mounts that creates a
dipole 
out of two ham stick mobile antennas. Yes, the Q. may not be as good as
a 
regular dipole but you can set it vertical or horizontal. Also, you can 
mount it on a rotor. I believe two ham sticks plus the dipole adaptor
are 
less than $60.

Just a thought.
