I've bought store display items in the past and never had a warranty problem. There is no reason the warranty shouldn' be in effect since it is supposed to start running with the first purchaser. With demo cars you get a full warranty minus the miles on the demo. As for a replacement keyboard you'd need to ask Averatec support or you could do a google search for it. The full keyboard is going to nullify your savings on this demo purchase even if you're capable of putting it in yourself, I can tell you that. If I were you I'd see if you couldn't bring it back to the store and get a regular one.
