Hi again Folks.

I have two questions. The first concerns just how one locates a specific
menu on the t h-f6a. I know that, by
pressing the menu button, I'm in, and that the menu that comes up is the
last one used. But, is there some kind of a reference point? I did turn with
the tuning knob and found a beep, suggestive of menu 1. But, what then. How
does one select a specific menu with the tuning knob and the appropriate
parameter at the same time without changing the menu number showing?

Sorry to be such a pest. I looked in all the documents I have for an answer
before bothering the group but could find nothing specific for someone who
can't
read the display. Thanks for your patience.

The second issue concerns use of an external antenna with this tranceiver
for hf bands. I note that there is a menu item that allows for disabling the
internal bar antenna for lower frequencies. I would assume that, to use an
antenna for hf bands, other than the rather useless rubber duck, one would
have to keep the front end pointed at the sma connector. Any experience with
this, anyone?

Thanks again for all the help.

Jerry
