Unfortunately, Lou, I don't think they do.  You might take it into a local
communications shop to see if they will repair it.  Of course, the bench time
will cost more than the radio did but I know what you mean about the Super
Radio 2's.  They were discontinued years ago; and unfortunately, I have a
Super Radio 3 which isn't quite as hot, but still outperforms any commercial
radio.

Hi to all.

Does anyone know if General Electric has some sort of repair facility for
the GE Super Radios.  Mine has become deaf as a stone.  Even during the
nightime it doesn't hear anything except strong local signals.  I think it
may be part of the damage from the lightning strike.  I typically don't do
any medium wave DXing in the summertime when the lightning crashes are
prevealent, so I just noticed the lack of sensitivity tonight.  I strongly
suspect that either something happened to the RF amplifier, or the ferrite
rod antenna as a result of the lightning blast.  The radio was sitting on a
shelf about 10 feet from the antenna cables that got cooked by the
lightning stroke.  If I could still buy the Super Radio 2, I would replace
it in a heartbeat.
