I typically have a fruit salad, or fresh fruit juice in the morning.
Sometimes, if I am going for long bicycle rides, I will blend some
sprouted grains with bananas to make a shake for breakfast.
After a 4 hour mountain bike ride, the best thing I can have in
the summer is watermellon.

For lunch, I will often have a sprout salad, with sunflower and/or
buckwheat sprouts and some type of dressing, such as a green goddess
dressing, with soaked dulse on the top. If I feel that I need to
carbo load, due to my regular cycling activities, I will add some
grain sprouts to the salad, such as quinoa, a quick sprouting and
highly nutritious grain.

For dinner, I may have some vegetable juice or green juice, or
raw soup (raw corn soups are a fav), followed by some salad,
and perhaps, some dehydrated seed meat patties. If I have time,
I delve into some of my raw food books and try new entrees.
Raw soups are easy to make with just a blender, and only
take a few minutes.

One good idea to avoid eating junk is to keep lots of fruit
around the office or home to snack on. Also, you can dehydrate
zuchini chips with brags amino or tamari for chips, and make
some kind of dip, such as guac, etc. Stuffed grape leaves
with seed cheese, or rolled in nori sheets also makes a good,
although rich treat.

As for books, I have a pretty large list of books which are
available on which I am about finished preparing reviews.
I will post this to the list soon, but please, be patient,
as I am starting a new job, continuing my old job part-time,
amounting to about 70+ hours a week. My hectic schedule has
delayed my long promised www page, but I hope to finish that
soon as well.

For those who are just starting a raw food diet, I would
recommend learning to how to grow sprouts, and gradually
introduce raw food meals into your diet. Start getting rid
of processed foods made with white flour and sugar.
Steam vegetables lightly, and include raw sprouts with your
meals. Raw soups and fresh vegetable juices before the meal are
a good way to get nourishment and introduce your body to a
raw food regime.

Much more to come, my time is out for now......

Best wishes and health,

David Mayne
