EASI Free Webinar: ARIA Made EASI
Presenter: Terrill Thompson from U. Washington
Tuesday May 3 at 11 Pacific, noon Mountain, 1 Central and 2 Eastern
ARIA ("Accessible Rich Internet Applications") is an official W3C
specification that is designed to help assistive technologies understand
the roles, states and properties of the various components that make up
modern web pages. This specification became an official "W3C
Recommendation" in March 2014, yet many people are still confused by it.
This session seeks to demystify ARIA and explain it, with examples, in a
way that even non-developers can understand. The session is designed for
web accessibility advocates who need just enough ARIA know-how to
effectively communicate with website owners and developers.
