Valerie Perentesis, Pharm. D.
will be our guest speaker
 
Dr. Perentesis is Associate Director of Pharmacy Services at Beth Israel
Medical Center in New York City and a member of the adjunct faculty at St.
John's University.  She also has retail pharmacy experience.  Dr. Perentesis
will speak briefly about the ingredients that are added to medications either
to manufacture them or to assure their effectiveness, about FDA regulations
that govern the manufacture and distribution of pharmaceuticals, and about
ways to help you make sure your medications, whether purchased from a retail
druggist or taken in the hospital, are really gluten-free.  After that, Dr.
Perentesis will answer questions.
