I haven't had time to get into the archives but haven't seen this topic
in the week I've been on the list. I'm seeing my doctor tomorrow at 1:00
and would like to ask about allergy shots as a treatment for celiac disease.
On the allergy vs. intolerance page of the celiac support site, there's a
discussion of two types of intradermal injections- 1)enzyme potentiated
desensitization and 2)provocation/neutralization- that are said to be
effective in treating food allergy/intolerance. Does anyone have first
hand knowledge about this? I've gotten the impression from the list that
abstinence is the only, but would love to have hope of a cure. Also, I
wonder if the disease goes into remission as other allergies I've had
come and go, albeit they may have been childhood allergies. Thank you.
