What I actually said is that the USDA requires manufacturers to list 
ANY grain in meat. I've called the USDA several times and this is 
what they've always told me. This means barley would have to be 
listed. In addition, I said that I've never seen a turkey that has 
gluten unless it was stuffed. If anybody out there knows otherwise, 
please speak up.

Butterball does indeed have a warning that its flavorings COULD 
contain gluten, but they never have in the past, and, as noted, the 
barley would still have to be listed. There are better turkeys out 
there than Butterball, but it is a popular brand and you should know 
that you would be safe eating it.
