A poster said she got an e-mail from Breyers saying that none of
their ice creams were GF. That didn't sound right so I asked them
through instant messaging and I got a very different answer:

User:
Do you have gluten free flavors?
Agent:
We recommend consumers read the label each time before buying our
product. If gluten is present, it is clearly listed in plain language
on the ingredient label (i.e., wheat flour, rye, barley, oats, and
malt). Malt is a barley based ingredient.

This has in fact been Breyers policy for years now. I checked
ingredients on a few ice creams (avoiding the obviously non-GF ones
like cookies and cream) and none listed gluten.
