Has anyone been able to get information on GF products from Audi or Wal-Mart?

My boyfriend had made bacon form Aldi's (Premium Pride) and I couldn't find any information on it. I went to their site and there wasn't any email or phone number available. With meat, is the labeling law different? Would you trust reading the label? It did not have any soy sauce but did have I think natural and artificial flavors. Someone had told me that with bacon, as long as the label didn't say wheat or soy (because of potential of wheat) would be OK.

I also emailed Wal-Mart this week and this is their response:

Thank you for your message.

We do not have an actual list of gluten free products, but we do know of a couple websites that customers can visit for more information. http://gfkitchen.server101.com
www.celiac.com

While I had seen celiac.com before and the other site was interesting but not particularly informative. Has anyone been able to get a list or do you just search individual products? I really miss not being able to just grab any product off the shelf and not worry about whether it was GF! I've learned that it's hard to find out the GF status of off brands.

Thanks,
Laurie
