Dear Listmembers, There was a very nice post from Patrick Cahill
regarding my post on Farley's Halloween candy. He stated that he contacted
the manufacturer and the rep. stated that the candy is GF, even though it
states on the package that it may contain wheat. The rep. assurred him
that it could not possibly contain wheat. How many of us have dealt with
reps. who do not know what they are talking about? I do not understand why
they would put possible wheat on the ingredient list if it positively could
not contain wheat. Does this make any sense? I know that companies are
trying to protect themselves, but I just don't understand this. Why don't
they also put could contain traces of barley, oats, etc.? I personally
would not buy this candy. Karen from Central NY, USA
