Hi Fernando and All,

OCR using a camera puts much higher demands on
the OCR software than when using a flatbed scanner,
to correct for perspective distortion, non-perfect
focus, non-standard and non-uniform lighting, and
so on and so forth. You can read more about this
on the web page

   Mobile OCR for the Blind
   http://www.seeingwithsound.com/ocr.htm

The vOICe software already offers - for free - much
of the functionality that the P2RD is supposed to
provide when it comes out, but both will be limited
by the recognition quality of the (third-party) OCR
engines. In case you try The vOICe's OCR support,
set your screen display to 24 bit or 32 bit color
(Control Panel | Display | Settings tab), because
there is a known issue with JPEG image generation
in a 16 bit (or less) display mode that we are
currently looking into.

Best regards,

Peter Meijer
