Harry,

User account notifications are there to protect you from unwanted installations or system activity that could compromise your system. Whenever it pops up, some program or another is doing something to your computer that may be dangerous. It allows you to catch suspicious activities. For most people, I highly recommend that they keep UAC running. Do not turn it off.

Regards,

Pratik

Subject: [VICUG-L] turning off the user accounts notification in windows 10? what do you all think?

Hi all,

Just going through my computer notebook folder, and I have all kinds of
great stuff in there.

However, I have a write up in there called how to turn off the user
account notification in windows 10.

For some reason, when I did this write up, sometime last year, I
obviously, wanted to turn that off, however, I can't remember why I
wanted to do that.

Maybe I just didn't want to be hearing anything popping up from user
accounts, who knows.

Anyway, what do you all think about turning that off?

Obviously some people in the computer world have that turned off,
because that is where I got the idea from.

Harry
