I am still using JAWS 2018, but just incase this setting is the same in
2019, this is how I change that setting:

When in a document, go to Quick Settings with an Insert v.

Down arrow once and then press e for Editing Options.

Under Auto Detection uncheck Spelling Error Detection and Grammar Error
Detection

Hello Jeanne,

Yes, my JAWS does the same thing after the update. It is interesting, but
annoying to listen to all day.

Currently, I am using JAWS Version: 2019.1906.10.  In all of the updates
that I have done, I have never heard "spelling and grammatical error while
reading or typing".  Perhaps you could get rid of this problem by updating
to the latest version on the JAWS DOWNLOAD PAGE.

I just updated my JAWS 2019 to 2019.06.. In this update, as some of you
know, it says spelling and grammatical error while reading or typing.

Can I turn off this announcement and if so how?
