This is really for Peter Meijer, but just so as you all know how I stand.

Peter, I find your attitude refreshingly open.  My guess, and
merely that with the relationship between learning an existing
language and learning an entirely new one is that there is an
existing base of users to guide and support the new commer.  And
that the language has been formalized and understood well enough
so you can write a book on how to learn it.  But I don't think
that's enough.

On the "A I" question, I am inclined to agree but they've shown us
some fairly impressive first tries.  Even Dr. Yuille says if this
works it'll be the first usefull thing to come out of "A I"--
don't quote me. <GRIN>

Best luck to all of us, we'll need it.

And kindly list owners, that'll be all for me on the list this
subject unless something really startling comes by.  More
questions, let's do it privately.
