I've been using CookieCop for about a month - it lets me tell it what sites to accept cookies from (my "regular" sites) and rejects the rest (ad sites and things I never plan to go back to). It's easier to work with than setting the IE "trusted sites" (which I wasn't altogether comfortable with, anyway).
