This could only be one of the many solutions to this problem.
Go to your Control Panel and bring up 'System.'
Select or click on the 'Performance' tab.
Click on the 'File System...' button.
When 'File System Properties' comes up, select or click the
'Troubleshooting' tab.
Check your settings here. Make sure that the "Disable System Restore" is
not checked. Otherwise, uncheck this box.
