The USB 2.0 PCMCIA card that I just purchased for my ThinkPad (A22) stated
that the minimum requirements was 266MHz or faster and the PCMCIA slot had
to have CardBus enabled.  Also Win 98 SE (which you have).  Your ThinkPad
is not fast enough and would probably give errors if you could get it
installed.
