To add to what Kyle and Herbert have already said, before adding any new
cooling solutions you may want to check and see if the current fan on the
card is attached properly.  If it appears to be solidly flush with the
chip, another suggestion might be to remove the fan and add a little
thermal grease before reattaching the fan (a nice thin layer).  I remember
that this was a problem with some of the original TNT cards but I don't
know for sure regarding the TNT2.  Worth a shot I think.

Also be sure to update to the latest available drivers if you haven't already.
