Hi, Steve.

You may want to consider the Linksys Wireless PCI card --
 Model No. WMP11.  The card fits in a standard PCI slot
and the antenna mounts external to the case attached to
the wireless NIC.  Further, the documentation claims
compatibility with Win NT.  I purchased mine at Staple
for about $130.
