I'm a PC repair technician who's been doing this for several years. I'm
pretty good at it, too.
   I must admit, though, that I don't do any work on monitors. Do I have to
know this kind of thing to become A+ certified? I have a crappy A+ training
guide, and it doesn't mention anything about discharging monitors in it...
