I have a client whose 3 year old Aptiva did the same thing (under Win 3.x).
I checked in the Setup area and disabled everything that had to do with
power management. It didn't help at all. It did the same under a Win95B
upgrade. As the machine was having serious other problems, the client
decided to recycle it (as a boat anchor!) and get something else. I would
love to know also what causes this. Thanks!
