I have a Compaq Armada notebook. I don't remember the model, but its a 266
MHz model. The display has recently started to dim. When it first started,
it only happened when the screen saver came on. When you would go back to
work (touch keys, move mouse) the screen intensity would come back. It then
got worse, so that sometimes the display is so dim that I can't see enough
to navigate through what's running. Is there any hope for this short of
replacing the display?
TIA,
Ron Jobe
