I apologize in advance for not having more information
on this but I have a hardware issue posed to me which
I need to see if there's anything I can do.

From what I know it's an NEC Laptop (age unknown)
running Windows95.

The trackball apparently does not work right now and
the user has a serial mouse and a modem and they use
on this machine as well. The modem is external and
apparently there is only one serial port on this unit.

My experience pretty much precludes knowledge of what
to do in this instance. Assuming I can't fix the
trackball, how can I get both the serial mouse and
modem working? Is there a way to daisy chain them
that's not going to create an IRQ conflict?

It's not critical that I solve this as they have a
desktop machine as well now but I would like to be
able to provide a solution.

I will post more the early part of the week if more
info is needed.

I appreciate any suggestions I can at least explore.

-Alex
