Hi,

I bought a dell dimension 3000 desktop a couple of months ago. This is the hardware information of my computer: Windows Xp Pro Edition, Intel Celeron 2.66 GHz, 80 gb hard drive, 512 mb ram, a cd - rom (set to master), a dvd - burner (set to slave), onboard video card and an onboard sound card Analog Devices ADI 198x Integrated Audio.

This is my problem: I installed Windows Xp Pro on this system a couple of days ago. A clean install. I installed the drives in the proper way.
I can listen to the internet radio without problem, but when I want to listen to music of my cd rom or dvd burner, I can hear a cracking sound in the music.

What could be the problem?

Before I had Windows XP Home edition installed with both drives, and the sound was perfect.
