You need 72 pin EDO Simms. You can typically confirm this during the
boot process. One of the text messages displayed on a black background
before windows loads should report the type of RAM (EDO or FP)and the
location (either by bank or slot #). You need to buy them in pairs.
They must be of the same size, two 32 meg or two 16 meg, for example.
All simms you will likely find today are 60 nanosecond rated, so you
shouldn't need to worry about matching speed. More than likely, you
have only two (one pair) slots vacant on your motherboard, so don't buy
more than one pair unless you intend to replace the existing pair.

My in-laws have a Dell Opti-Plex 166mhz pentium . They need to add more
RAM but don't have a clue what type to get. I need to know what type and
how many pin RAM to buy.Any help would be greatly appreciated.
