but i think i remember setting local logical drives to 'do not share'
 and having that property stick

so they are not really shared shared then unless i create 'new share' ?
(BTW, i don't want them shared on the local network)

and while we are on this topic
i have another USB drive on another machine that i DO want shared
i guess i used 'new share' "G-1" or something and all
was well for quite a while

then one day although the drive could be seen over the network the data
and directories could not be seen
the only way i got out of it was to create another new share
any ideas why this would disappear?
