  Close.  Some of them shipped with the tag RAM chip already
installed.  Most others required users who wanted more than 64MB
cached to locate their own tag RAM and install it.
  There may have been a third categor of boards without the tag RAM
and without anywhere to add it.  Probably not many, though, because
why else would customers pay a premium to buy a 430HX instead of a
430VX?
