Erin,

In order to clean your PC from infections related to Spyware Axe product,
please follow the instructions below:

1) Save Uninstallers.zip from
http://www.spyaxe.com/uninstall/uninstallers.zip to your desktop or HDD.

2) Extract 2 files "illegal_adv_uninstall1.exe" and
"illegal_adv_uninstall2.exe" to your desktop or your HDD using WinZip.

3) Execute both of them one by one by double-clicking with your mouse.

4) Reboot your PC

5) Your PC is now clean from the infection

Happy Holidays!

There is a message dated Dec 9 on Adaware's web site
concerning Spyaxe. It states that they are
"releasing a rapid response update to address this problem"
http://www.lavasoftresearch.com/bloglogin.php
Hope it helps, Bob

Hi All,
Has anyone heard of spyaxe 3.0 and how to get rid of it. My son picked this
malware up from a game CD for poker. It has taken over his computer by tring
to sing on line and force him to buy the software to remove it. I tried
adaware and norton. Neither can get it all.

                 Thanks in advance Bud Jarman
