Weeks worth of fun and info! I keep nine hens for eggs, in a covered pen
about 2 x 3.5m, with an external laying and roosting house measuring about
750mm x 1800mm. They get worms, bugs, dirt, leaves, grass, produce trim,
dark greens from my veggie patch, and a mix of grains and seeds I make up
myself. The smart chickens don't care much for wheat or corn, either:)

A little research will give you an idea of how to raise, and which breeds,
for either eggs or meat. This next site has info on the more commercially
successful breeds:
