One would think water is neutral, but I have a friend in Toronto who has
been studying (unofficially) the results of fluoridation of water for
several years.  She reports that at least some treated, city water is
testing acidic.  Doesn't surprise me.

BTW, thanks to the list for the tip re. the stainless steel Berkey water
filtration counter system.  I've spoken w/ their closest distributor and
will order a Travel Berkey soon.  I'm so glad to have finally found a small,
inexpensive system that takes out copper, iron, chlorine, etc. and...with
the upgraded filter....will take out fluoride.  It also leaves the minerals 
intact.  Cool.  Here's the link
