> Historical question: Isn't the Bible post-paleo?

Indeed. According to most Bible scholars, the Old Testament was composed
between the 5th century BC and the 2nd century BC. This is significantly
later than the paleolithic period (which covers roughly 2 million BC -
35,000 BC).

In fact, according to a literal reading of the Bible, the paleolithic
period never existed. The Biblical God created the universe around 4000
BC.

Furthermore, during the course of paleolithic period, modern homo sapiens
evolved from earlier hominids such as Homo habilis and Homo erectus. The
whole premise of this list is that the conditions under which this
evolution took place gentically shaped us to be suited to the diet of
pre-human hunter-gatherers. The Bible, on the other hand, contends that
God spontaneously created humans "in his image" on the "sixth day." In
such a scenario, since humans did not evolve from earlier paleolithic
hominids, this would make the point of this list moot.

Hobbes: Are you kidding? Your fingernails are a joke,
you've got no fangs, you can't see at night, your pink
hides are ridiculous, your reflexes are nil, and you don't
even have tails! Of course people aren't content!
