As I mentioned, Dr. Bernstein and Ray Audette claimed that if you catch it
early enough, before the eyelet cells are all burned out, you can put type 1
diabetes into remission. The alleged full remission of early-stage
autoimmune-type insulin-dependent (type 1) diabetes and rheumatoid arthritis
was the main inspiration for NeanderThin, which in turn helped inspire this
discussion list.

Yes, it's bizarre the way most endocrinologists instruct their patients to
accelerate the burn out of their pancreas by eating a high-carb diet (adding
fuel to the fire). Is it just coincidence that this ensures the patient will
remain dependent on insulin or other prescriptions for the rest of their
lives?

Yeah, a lot of the diet ads attract people by saying things like "eat pizza,
lasagna and all the foods you love and still lose weight" by taking some
pill or shake or eating just their pre-measured processed-food portions.
Another of the food-and-drug industry lies is "it's all healthy if it's
eaten in moderation."

Yes, they produce opiates, for example.

Sorry to hear that. Billions have been misled and tortured by food, drug and
medical industries around the world and the governments they buy off. They
don't want people to actually die, just remain dependent on lots of their
foods, drugs or surgeries for as long as possible. They tend to measure
"health" in terms of longevity rather than quality of life. It's
unfortunately a sad fact of life. At least you won't fall prey to the lies.

I can't count the number of times I've heard someone say "I'm healthy except
for..." and then list several modern illnesses and syndromes, or claim that
moderners are the healthiest people ever because their lifespans are the
longest. I've heard people say they are "cured" because the lifelong
medicines they are taking are controlling their symptoms. Little do they
know that these same medicines will themselves eventually cause significant
damage to their bodies and they'll probably have to take more drugs to
offset the effects of the first drugs. Don't let the horror of it all get
you down.
