I think your dog's making out. This fear of egg yolks came up with the
cholesterol propaganda of recent years. I still think the egg yolk is
really good food; there's a reason all the animals go for them. Even in
poorly fed poultry, I think there's far more good nutrition here than
harmful. Besides cooked egg whites are notoriously hard to digest and a
common allergen. I have a slow-to-learn friend who has eaten only the
whites for years; I had him save and freeze all the yolks for us, and would
eat piles of them at once. Of course, I'm one of those who seem to tolerate
large amounts of fat, but react badly to carbs. You might be throwing out
the baby and drinking the bath water here.
