Hi Mary (and everyone else!)

>>But my question: is there a limit to how much fish oil we can have or give to children?
I give Larry two
>or 3 small cod liver oil capsules per meal time about two times per day. Other fats he
gets are olive oil, coconut oil and of course beef fat other animal fats like chicken fat.

I turned that question over to Don, who suggests that you not go over 3-4 cod liver oil
capsules per day bec. they are very concentrated in vitamins A & D. Of course, it is
still okay (and good) to eat plenty of deep ocean fish. Salmon, marlin, halibut, fresh
tuna and others are great to eat several times per week (or daily if your budget permits);
there is no harm with eating these daily as they fish flesh is not rich in vitamins A & D,
although it is an exceptional sources of omega-3s.
>
>As for Larry's low basal temp. there is some research suggesting that the omega-3s may
help, but no one can say for sure whether his (vaccine-induced) weakness will be
rectified. All you can do is optimize your/his diet and do other immune supportive
things--get plenty of rest, sunshine, fresh air, and include plenty of hugs and laughter
(good for every system in the body, esp. the immune system! :)))) Do you all give each
other at least 3 hugs a day? 6-A-Day is even better! Everyone should work on the hug
thing---ASAP! :))))

For some, a Paleo Diet improves one's sense of humor and provides far more laughter than a
SAD (Standard American Diet Diet), a MAD (Modern American Diet), or even a high-carb,
low-fat, low-protein diet. (I am serious here!!!! It worked for me!!! Great food/good
nourishment can make you delightfully silly!)

One other tip: zinc and selenium are important for immune and thyroid health. If you
don't take a multi-mineral, it would be prudent to add one to your diets, given the SAD
state of modern soil and vegetables. Don suggests *Country Life Total Mins* (it does not
contain mega-doses and is very balanced, as far as supplements go). The pills are a bit
large but may be crushed if Larry has trouble swallowing them.

Happy eating and hugging!

Rachel :-))
