        There's more to it than that.  I have a reference here to support me now.
Fact:  Hearts are the most vunerable to oxidation damage.

Fact:  And iron carries a +3 oxidation state.

Theory:  Therefore, IMO, the iron provides a reservoir for harmful oxidants.

Fact:  People who get a lot of iron and few antioxidants at least account
for the heart attack stats.

Theory:  Poss. the colon and breast cancer data as well.

        There. Did everyone follow my creative wanderings?
