I have begun taking ground flaxseeds (3 tablespoons) daily for added fiber and
other health benefits (i know there is some disagreement among paleos as to
whether or not flax should be consumed -- so this question is addressed
to pro-flax paleos). My question is this: recently I read that according to a German scientist named Johanna Budwig, mixing
the seeds and/or oil with cottage cheese (!) enhances the beneficial
effect. Allegedly, cottage cheese is considered a "sulphurated protein"
and this binds with the oil in a way that makes it more easily utilized
by the body. Any paleos have any thoughts on this?? Are there other
paleo proteins that would work just as well??? The only other suggestion
I've read about to mix with the flax seeds or oil is tofu(!!). Help!
